I promise I’ll explain what’s going on in panel 2. Eventually. Meanwhile, just for clarity’s sake, you should be aware that you’ve seen Mr. Reynolds before, prior to his haircut.
OK, so remember when I said I’d have 2 pages up this week? Well, put simply, things got REALLY screwed up on my end and that became completely impossible. Most of it’s my fault. Good news is, I’m out on spring break, which should give me plenty of time to build up a reasonable buffer. Maybe third time’s a charm?
…yeah, I didn’t think so either. I’m taking a hiatus to focus on school work for the time being. Remus will return on the 23rd as soon as I kick a particularly nasty virus and can get to a scanner coincident with the Rapture at the end of May, possibly with an improved schedule as soon as possible.
In other news, I tried lettering this one with a demo of Illustrator instead of Inkscape, which is what I usually use. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but despite the headaches, bugs, and frequent crashes, I think I actually prefer Inkscape. I’ll probably make the switch to illustrator at some point, but for the forseeable future I’m going back to the open-source well.

Now that’s a manly walk!
Panel 2? I’m no doc, but… Looks to me like a heartrate monitor; a fairly steady and even one at that.
Given the positioning, and the fact that there is no way in hell Ryan’s got a normal heartrate given what he’s gone through, I’d say it belongs to Mr. Reynolds. He just shot a man and left him to die, without his heartrate changing at all. This is either showing his fanatic devotion to his country… or he was taking a moment to get his breathing and heartrate under control, so that he could better play the part of a fanatic, and he will at some point be making a Heel Face Turn.
